T.N. Ward’s first LEED project, Atlantic City Office Building, earns LEED Silver status. The purpose of the building is to give firms looking to relocate to Atlantic City a state-of-the-art new office building. The Atlantic City Office Building is three stories tall and over sixty-thousand square feet. The construction contract was awarded in January of 2008, and the building was turned over in early 2009. T.N. Ward Company was hired to build the core and shell of the building.
The client decided that it was best to take advantage of the LEED Certification program. This program calls for the building to
· Conserve energy and water
· Be healthier and safer for occupants
· Reduce harmful greenhouse gas emissions
· Demonstrate an owner’s commitment to environmental stewardship
